The Apostasy Chronicles
"A Call to Order"

By LCM Shimir Sheerelk

Enter Grand Admiral Ronin wearing civilian clothing

"Citizens and soldiers of the Empire. I come before you today, not dressed in Imperial red. Not donning the white uniform of a Grand Admiral, but instead the clothing of you, the backbone of our great Empire. I address you today not from my office aboard the mighty Sovereign. Not from a chamber in my palace. But from this town square, in the heart of your city. Today, I am not your superior. I am but another Imperial shocked and angered at the transpirings of today, when the traitor Firefox and members of his innermost circle decided to sell their souls to the rebellion."
"I assure you that every measure conceivable will be issued to bring these criminals to justice. Already the process of apprehending them has begun. The TIE Corps' primary battlegroup, under the capable command of Admiral Krax Tarnisar has been dispatched to reinforce the borders of our territories, insuring not only the well being of those settlements from outside attack, but making it that much harder for the defectors to slip through our net. I am told that the Sovereign has commissioned no less than forty volunteer fighter pilots, to begin a relentless nine week hunt across our space for these traitors. Furthermore, Supreme Director Mordann informs me that he has planted several elite agents in the ranks of this new rouge organization, insuring their destruction from within. I have recalled the Sovereign for a quick refit before their execution of the Empire's next big undertaking. To this point, that project has remained classified. But here, today, I reveal it to you, noble brothers and sisters. The operation, code-named United Front, involves a joint effort between the Hammer's Fist and TIE Corps. Together, they will take an undisclosed star system in the Minos Cluster, which will act as a staging area from which we will launch our next offensive... into New Republic space."
"The most noble and important burden however, falls on all of you, the citizens of our Imperium. Without your support, all the Star Destroyers and Death Stars in the galaxy are useless. Completely null and void, as demonstrated by our late Emperor. Without you, nothing can happen. You are truly the lifeblood of our Empire, we are just the honored few who serve your needs. You will all have an expanded role in the months to come, and I am confident that you will all rise to the occasion, as you always do."
"Twice in the history of our Empire, we have been shattered by treachery from within. In the stars over Endor, the final victory against the Alliance would have been won, were it not for the treachery of Lord Vader, Palpatine's most trusted aide. And again, over Bilbringi, Grand Admiral Thrawn met his fate not at the hands of another Commodore, more skilled than he; but by the knife of his personal assistant. In both these instances, order could have easily been maintained, if the people would not have panicked. That is why it is critical, for your Empire, that you continue to go about your business in an orderly fashion. Should we continue to receive the support of our citizens, victory is in our grasp. Should your loyalty waver, all is lost."
"So continue your valuable work. Continue turning out produce, clothing, textiles, machinery and all the other products that run our machine. Continue to show your support for our warriors, be they of land, sea, air or space. Continue to do all those things that made us great to begin with. Palapatine had a dream. A dream of a united Galaxy where all could live peacefully, in a state of eternal order, where no harm would come to them. That dream was shattered by the rebellion, but now, years later, that dream has been given new birth. It is slowly being realized, by all of us. By you."
"An Empire united, will never be defeated. We achieved such unity once, right after the Clone Wars. It was an age of wonder. The Empire spread like a wildfire on Endor, consuming all that stood in it's path. And again, with the coming of Thrawn, we were close to unity, but fell slightly short. Now is our chance! That is why I come before you dressed as you would. Because for us to succeed unity is critical! We must not be consumed by our petty differences any more. We must stand firm, in the name of our Empire. In the name or all things we hold sacred, that the Rebel Alliance wishes to destroy!"
"And so today, I put forth a new goal. For us and our Empire. That, before the conclusion of my natural life span, the Emperor's Hammer Strike Fleet, with the support of it's people, shall retake no less than half of the territories originally seeded to the Galactic Republic. And that we should do so with the complete backing of our people, a ship united, not divided, to avoid the mistakes of our predecessors. This will not be an easy undertaking by any means, and to achieve victory two key events must occur."
"To begin with, you, the populous, must do your jobs. I have outlined these already previously, but I will reemphasize them now. Continue to go about your daily business. Do not allow yourself to be swayed, or panicked by the rumors and propaganda the Rebels, Firefox, and other traitors of their breed are spreading over holonet. They spread such lies because they know we are coming for them, and are afraid of their fate when we reach them. And be afraid they should, because no nightmare can equal the horror in store for them when that judgment day shall come."
"And the second task falls on us, your leaders and military. We will be the ones to move on the offensive now. We are no longer content to sit back and get complacent. I can promise you many bloody battles to come, and it is likely that we will lose many good men. But they will die as such, men, no longer little boys, or cowards like Firefox, but men, fighting and sacrificing for their empire as we all must. And so, in summary, I can promise you a period of great adversity, followed by a period of achievement."
"And so, with both our tasks laid out before us, and much work and toil to be done, I bid you all return to your work. Remain confident that myself and my staff will continue to look out for you and your interests, as we now unite in a common goal. And know this: The treachery of Firefox, and all who defy our Empire, will never be forgotten...nor forgiven."
