"The Kappan"

By LCM Shimir Sheerelk

The battle rages further on,
The warrior aims a lil' higher,
A jaded soul again reborn,
Forged and baptized by battle-fire.

Death holds dominion over man,
and the Dog shall have has his day.
For I belong to dear old Kappa,
My home, my place to stay.

Still he will not bow nor yield,
his defiant cry throughout the night.
The sins weigh heavy on his soul;
Fires of Hell burn extra bright.

Guided by those who rest above,
comrades lost along the way.
I will fight for dear old Kappa,
My home, my place to stay

And yet he stumbles vaguely on,
fatigue now louder than his zeal.
The falcon circles one last time,
The infant totters on her heel

May all who challenge show themselves,
and let the battle-drums be played,
For I would bleed for my sweet Kappa,
To die for beloved Kappa,
My Life for dear old Kappa!
My home, my place to stay.
