Major Artyis has an impressive service record, dating clear back to 1999. He spent much of that time in Sigma Squadron, along with Tod and Regis Knox. He joined Kappa, coming from the Reserves, in May 2002, and his skills in the cockpit contributed a lot to the success in competitions Kappa enjoyed at that time. After five months with Kappa, Artyis returned to Sigma on its reopening, but it was not long before Omega recognized his talents, and invited him to join them. He still serves for the elite Squadron, alongside his friend Todbringer.
