Lieutenant Commander Galland had all the makings of a quality officer. Within a month of joining the Squadron he was rewarded by being made Leader of Kappa Flight III. He served with distinction and was one of the candidates to take command of the Squadron after Shador's resignation. Indeed he was chosen as Acting-Commander whilst Wlodek went on leave in June. Sadly, shortly afterwards his activity fell away and he was AWOL'd from the Squadron in August.  (Algaron)
