When arriving freshly from the Daedalus in May 2002, Shimir showed some great potential, and his flying record was second to none. His activity ebbed away, though, and he had to be AWOLed in November. He came back to active duty after some months, though, and with new enthusiasm, he very soon became one of the most active Kappans again. Since then, Shimir has contributed to Kappa's success in various ways. His constant flying activity as well as the quality of his fiction make him an invaluable asset to the Squadron, for which you may find some evidence in the fiction section of this site. Shimir also provided the groundwork for the second part of this Kappa History, beginning with "The Algaron Years". Since January 2004, Shimir leads our TIE Defenders into battle as the Flight Leader of Flight III.
