With about three years of active service, Jan was one of the longest serving officers in Kappa history. He was an exceptionally dedicated and popular member of the Squadron and his work as an EH Ambassador was vital in spreading Kappa's appeal and popularity to a large audience. Jan had been Flight Leader of Flight III since August 2000, and as Kappa's Recruitment Co-ordinator he had also been instrumental in increasing the size of the Squadron's roster. Jan's first leave from the squadron was because of RL commitments, the second one was a tour of duty in the elite Praetorian Squadron. On his third leave, Jan was the Fleet Medical Officer (MO), where he gained the rank of RA. He stepped down from that position, though, to return to Kappa once again in June 2003. Jan finally left Kappa in May 2004 to the reserves. A true Kappa legend. We hope we haven't seen him in our squadron for the last time!  (Algaron/Tempest)
