--- Millenium Falcon --- Although this model is still not quite complete(the sides of the main body need some detail work) it blows away any other model of the Star Wars Millenium Falcon I've ever seen. I modeled it after an approx. 13" plastic model produced by some company based in Iowa who's name fails me now. This is my second attempt at creating a high detail model of the Falcon. The first model had a very basic mesh and used extreme high res bump maps for the finer detail but maps of any kind will blur and start looking rather messy at close ranges. So I figured the only way to go about it was simply to model EVERYTHING, down to the last rivet and pipe. And voila, here it is... Beware, this model is a BITCH to render, with somewhere around 180,000 faces it takes several hours at least to render a single shot at 800x600 on a P90 w/16Megs RAM. Take a look in the keyframer, there's a short animation I did of the ship lifting off and the gear retracting and then flying off in the distance. I would love to render the animation but my machine would be grinding away for weeks. Anyone wanna buy me an SGI? ;) There is an included GIF image rendered in 1024x768. Check it out.... The model was created entirely with Autodesk 3D-Studio vers.4 Check out my other StarWars model of the Imperial AT-AT, called BIG_at-at.zip Iven Connary November 15, 1995 ------------------------------IMPORTANT!!!----------------------------------- This model is not Shareware, Freeware, or Public Domain. You may not use this model in any type or form of commercial production. In fact I don't think I'm allowed to either, since I modeled it but did not actually design it. But feel free to download it, render it, look at it, drool over it, show to your friends, let them drool over it, and whatever else you may wish to do with it as long as it doesn't involve making money. One more thing, feel free to HIRE ME, as i am currently looking for a job.
